Common App Fee Waiver- if you used an ACT or SAT fee waiver select yes.I will then verify that you qualify for a fee waiver.We do not have to mail college application fee waivers to college when you apply with common app.We will have to mail paper copies to schools that you apply to using CFNC or the college’s website.

Colleges and Universities- you will enter Sampson Community College Information if you have taken courses through SCC.
College credit will be awarded
Select yes if you are degree candidate and will finish your associate degree prior to graduation.
Transcript is available- you will need to request your SCC transcript through SCC directly. This can be done online or in-person at Sampson Community College in Student Services.
Get a copy of your transcript to complete the grade, class rank, and gpa sections.
For current courses, you will list your college classes and high school classes
Honors- class awards, principals list, etc.We do not have copies of these awards, you will need to get this information from your record keeping.

Disciplinary History- be honest! The Guidance department has to verify this information. If you have a concern about a discipline issue, please see your counselor as to how to best approach this situation!

Admission plan- early action, early decision, regular decision.Visit the schools website to learn more about what those terms mean to each individual school.
Need based financial aid- if you are filing out FAFSA, select yes. Most if not all of you should select yes.
Merit based scholarship- yes if you are going to research and apply for merit based scholarships through the school.
Full time- most will select yes
Degree program- most will select yes
College housing- if you select yes, the school will send you housing information if you are accepted.
Academics-select based on your interests, it is ok to list more than one
Recommenders and FERPA
Complete the FERPA release form before adding recommenders
It’s a good idea to WAIVE your right to view recommendations.
Talk to your teachers and ask if they are willing to write a letter of recommendation.
Make sure you know your teacher’s first and last name.
Get their email address and let them know they will receive an email from the common application.They will submit the recommendation electronically!
